What can I say - I loved this music in 1973 and I do so in 2008. It`s a great album and it was a little drop on the stone when C.C.R get split of some time before. Everyone who loves the music from John Fogerty - please buy this record.

I first discovered this album in the early 1980's when I discovered a solo recording of a member of my favorite rock group from the sixties-CCR; What makes this album so appealing is it truly showcases John Fogerty's talent. He plays and records all the instruments himself, including layering his vocals for backup chorus. Definitely his mood at this period was true bluegrass/country/rock. I have not purchased this in CD form yet, but the album sound quality is perfection. I recommend this to any CCR fan and especially those who enjoy listening to good ol' bluegrass country rock ballads sung with the true spirit and soul of Mr. John Fogerty.

John Fogerty's first project after leaving Creedence is worth a listen. He revisits "old country" and gospel songs and puts the familiar swamp rock sound to them that made Creedence so popular. "Heart of Stone and "Jambalaya" are worth the purchase alone.
